The article focuses on the introduction of Industry 4.0 in companies, the difficulties involved, and the limitations and challenges faced by the management of this process. The strength of the study lies in its empirical nature. The participants were 39 Industry 4.0 experts from different Polish companies who took part.

At the same time, it was important to link theory and practice and to draw attention to possible changes in improving the economic performance of companies that could result from Industry 4.0.
